Thromboelastography/Thromboelastometry Toolkit
A toolkit to support implementation of Thromboelastography/Thromboelastometry (TE) in Trusts has been developed by a working group of the North West Regional Transfusion Committee incorporating North Wales. The toolkit includes templates for funding bids and implementation of TE, a literature review, manufacturers' technical specifications, contact details, factsheets and audit and competency documentation that can be adapted to meet local requirements.
Massive Haemorrhage Toolkit
A second version of the massive haemorrhage toolkit for hospital transfusion teams and committees has been produced. Details of the changes in this updated edition are shown on page 3 of the document. The toolkit includes flow charts outlining the management of massive haemorrhage in adults and children and by laboratory staff, and a seven step guide to coordinating the response. These flow charts and guide can be downloaded from this site and adapted by Trusts to meet their individual requirements and local constraints.
