Accountability

Since the early 1990s management of the Blood Transfusion Services in the UK has seen many changes, but cohesive professional advice has been provided through the "Red Book".

In 2000 the UK Forum (Medical Directors and Chief Executives of the 4 Services in the UK) agreed the terms of reference and lines of accountability for the Joint Professional Advisory Committee and its Standing Advisory Committees.
